Lisa got married to the love of her life, Robert, on 25 May 2014. The lovebirds tied the knot in Los Angeles in front of their friends and family.
A day after the wedding, the actress confirmed the news of her marriage on her page, WhoSay page, with a picture with her husband from the wedding. It was the first marriage for the actress but not for her husband.
After three years of dating, Lisa got married to her boyfriend at the age of 48. During that time, Robert was 42 years old.
Married Life & Children
Lisa and her husband have been married for six years and are relishing their married life keeping it away from the limelight.
However, Lisa shares some glimpses of her personal life through her social media accounts. Although it’s the first marriage for Lisa, her husband has children from his previous relationship. When she was dating Robert, she didn’t just want to get married to him but also wanted to be the “official stepmother” to his kids.

When Lisa started to film the Bravo show Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce after her wedding, it was an eye-opening “cautionary tale” for her. Understanding her character helped her as a new wife and mother to two sons. Talking about her experience to People in January 2017, she said,
“I’ve never been married before, I got married when I was 48. It wasn’t like I’d been waiting to get married, because I actually didn’t care. But I wanted to marry my husband and I wanted to be the official stepmother to my kids. All that was very important to me.”
“So to start a show where these two people who loved each other very much couldn’t make it work, it was very important to me to understand that story and hear those words and know that love is not enough.”
Similarly, in an essay for Redbook in August 2017, the actress revealed how her role as a stepmom has evolved. She wrote,
“Is it so impossible to imagine loving a child you didn’t give birth to? Sure, raising human beings is hard even when you’ve had the opportunity for oxytocin to kick in for some chemical bonding. But as any adoptive parent will tell you, love comes anyway, even if you became a parent without having sex to get there or you became a parent by default. Like me.”
In the essay, she revealed how her husband introduced his sons right away, their relationship, and the love they have for each other.
Along with blissful family life, Lisa Edelstein has a prolific career to cherish. Active in the showbiz since the 90s, Lisa has appeared in several filmographies among which she is best known for her work in Seinfeld (1993), Almost Perfect (1995-1997), Superman: The Animated Series (voice in 1995), Relativity (1996-1997), Leap of Faith (2002), House (2004-2011), The Good Doctor (2018-2019), and many more.
